Yes off course LaCunda ...., Actually, Egypt has around 10 millions (12% of population) Christians Coptic (Orthodox) and Catholic. The Coptic Church celebrates the birth of Jesus on January 7 while Catholic Church celebrates christmas in December 25th. As the majority of Egyptian christians are coptic, the Christmas in Egypt is a national holiday (the 7th of January).It is celebrated by Copts. Muslims share with their friends their festive season. Some schools in Egypt also take the 25th of December as a holiday.
Catholic Christians decorate in the same way as Western Catholics, with the creche and occasional Christmas Tree. The coptic churches decorated with candles and lamps in memory of Joseph, who lit candles to protect Mary from the cold during the Nativity. The Coptic language is used in the church ceremonies and religious songs. In the majestic Cathedral of Saint Mark in Cairo the Pope of the Orthodox Church begins Christmas ceremonies which are broadcast on television throughout the nation. Churches’ bells will ring when the Christmas Eve church service ends.
You can see most of commercial shops in streets, hotels, etc decorated with Christmas trees, lights, etc for the New Year. As the way Egyptians celebrate their feasts they go out to enjoy the holiday in parks, cinemas and theatres.
For the day of December 31th, ... after the mid-night .. ...if you drive your car at that time .... you should carry your Mg42 to protect yourself from young guys (muslims and christians) who shoot themselves by many alcohol bullets and drive their cars madly

thanks Ata... Of course I know all diferences between religions, but what I meant by my question was that I thougt Egyptians are muslims, so they dont celebrate Christmas... Now you gave me great explanation about it thanks

LOL .... It is fact that we have no Christmas trees, but we use unreal Christmas trees which are similar in shape but made from artificial material.

Actually I have not given time to complete reading the article whose author is unknown to me because I found some things contrary to the reality in which we live and also the words wrong about the Prophet Mohamed.
It is fact that the campaign against Islam (purpose and source are known) resulted in a sensitive relation between Muslims and Christians who belong to different cultures or even who belong to same country.
I prefer to stay within the original subject of this post and not to dwell more in the discussion of religions or differences here because I am not the right person to do that …and I hate that .
